WASHINGTON, D.C.  – Log Cabin Republicans (LCR) unveiled the organization's new logo, website, and strategic vision for 2013 and beyond at the "Reunite and Relaunch" celebration held in Washington, D.C. this past Friday. With over 100 gay Republicans in attendance from across the country, LCR Executive Director Gregory T. Angelo outlined a more aggressive Log Cabin Republicans that would fight within the GOP for equality and would place a greater focus on empowering local chapters. Angelo released the following statement with regard to the relaunch:

"Log Cabin Republicans' more than 30 year history has all led up to this moment. We're launching a more aggressive strategy for 2013 and beyond  – one that holds the Republican Party more accountable on gay issues and seeks to strengthen and leverage our local Chapters in order to gain Republican allies where they matter most: at the state level. We've worked more than 30 years to have a seat at the table; now that we're there, we're going to make our voices heard.

"With the Republican logjam on marriage equality now officially broken and Americans more accepting than ever of allowing committed same-sex couples the freedom to marry, now is the time to push the Republican Party toward the right side of history. This is our moment. This is our fight. And this is a fight we are going to win."
