Georgia Log Cabin Republicans File Ethics Complaint Against Woolard [D]
The Georgia Log Cabin Republicans have filed an ethics complaint against Cathy Woolard [D], the newly appointed Fulton County elections chairwoman.
Georgia Log Cabin filed an ethics complaint against Cathy Woolard, the newly appointed chairwoman of Fulton County elections, because she failed to disclose what happened to approximately $208,461.57 in campaign contributions. Coleman Williamson, President of Georgia Log Cabin said, "It's absurd that the Fulton County Board of Commissioners would appoint someone as chair of its elections board who blatantly disregards and doesn't follow our own election laws, and who fails to file campaign disclosures required by state law."
"We are requesting the Georgia Ethics Commission audit Ms. Woolard's campaign checking accounts, expenditures, and contributions during her failed 2017 Atlanta Mayoral Campaign. Her contributors and the people of Atlanta deserve to know what has happened to the $208,461.57 she had left over after her failed 2017 mayoral campaign.", said Mr. Williamson.
