Log Cabin Nevada President Appointed Vice Chairman of Clark County Republican Party

Las Vegas, NV and Washington, D.C. - Log Cabin Republicans of Nevada President Ed Williams has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Clark County Republican Party. Clark County, anchored by Las Vegas, is the largest county in Nevada, exceeding the combined population of all other counties in the state.

"Ed brings the modern business management, IT and communications skills the Clark County party needs to beat Senator Harry Reid in 2016," Clark County Republican Party Chairman David McKeon said. "He wholeheartedly supports our goals of winning elections, winning majorities and keeping Nevada red. I respect the leadership he brings to the party and glad he is part of the team."

Early in 2014, the Clark County Republican Party removed opposition to marriage equality from its platform. At the state convention a month later, the Nevada State Republican Party did the same. "Nevada and Clark County have sent the message that inclusion is the path to GOP victory," Williams noted. "This appointment is another strong signal that the GOP is focused on our unifying values of individual liberty and personal responsibility."

Log Cabin Republicans of Nevada has been active throughout the state in this election cycle, playing a critical role in helping the GOP win all the constitutional offices, a majority in the state Senate and a majority in the state Assembly.
