Georgia Log Cabin Republicans Endorses Representative Beth Beskin for Reelection
National Log Cabin Makes Beskin Honorary Member
Atlanta, GA - The Georgia Log Cabin Republicans are proud to endorse State Representative Beth Beskin for reelection in House District 54. Throughout her tenure in the legislature, Representative Beskin has been a thoughtful conservative voice for freedom, equality and nondiscrimination. This was certainly on display during the debate on House Bill 757, the discriminatory religious freedom legislation. Representative Beskin joined 11 of her Republican colleagues to vote against the bill, which was vetoed by Governor Deal. Because we know this legislation is coming back next session, it is even more important to support her bid for reelection. Representative Beskin has always been a champion for inclusion in our party, a much-needed voice as we begin to appeal to a more diverse Georgia. Whether it is through her pragmatic leadership on transportation policies, education reform, or public safety, Representative Beskin has always approached these issues with integrity and common-sense solutions. We wholeheartedly endorse her bid for reelection and continued service to the Buckhead and Historic Brookhaven communities.
National Chairman of the Log Cabin Republicans Jamie Ensley says, "I'm delighted to recognize Representative Beskin as an honorary member of the Georgia Log Cabin Republicans on behalf of her work to make the Republican Party more inclusive to the gay community."
